Don Cosens - Indigenous Success Advocate

Don hails from Dawson Creek and spent his teen years growing up in Richmond. His Indigenous roots were hidden from him until he was in his forties; as such, he does not know his cultural background and does not consider himself Indigenous. He is honored to work with and learn from the Indigenous students at Mission Public Schools and the Siwal Si'wes family. Don attended UVic for his BA and PDPP. He attended City University for his Masters in School Counselling. He has worked in a variety of schools and positions since 1999. Don looks forward to supporting Indigenous Mission youth and to helping them navigate their first steps out of high school!
