École Mission Senior Secondary School

École Mission Senior Secondary School, as an effective learning community, will enable all to achieve their potential.

Feb. 26, 2018

Dear Parents/Guardians:

I am writing to you to invite you to attend an exciting opportunity on Thursday, March 1st.

If you do not know already, we decided to change our Parent Teacher interviews from April 26th to March 1st.  This will allow our school to communicate with parents earlier in the term for both our linear Grade 10 classes and our Semester 2 classes. Our hope is that we will have better attendance from parents so they can have a conversation with staff to set a plan in place for a successful finish to the year.

Secondly, this evening will give parents and students the opportunity to see all the exciting course offerings we have at Mission Senior Secondary.   There will be displays and tours of classrooms that parents and students can go on to see what we offer and to participate in the course selection of their son or daughter. Parents can sit down at a computer and have a conversation with their child about courses and pick their schedules with them. We hope our grade 10 and 11 parents take advantage of the opportunity.

What you can expect of the evening:

Parents will be able to pick up a report card and a class schedule for second semester from tables located in Gym B.

Parents will be able to talk to teachers about the progress of their child and meet their second semester teachers.

Thursday, March 1st

3:30 – 6:00 Parent Teacher interviews and department displays

6:00 – 6:30 staff dinner no interviews

6:30- 9:00 Parent Teacher interviews and department displays
